About Wayne

Wayne was born in Dallas, Texas.  When he was three years old his parents moved to Bethany, a suburb of Oklahoma City.  Wayne grew up there, attended the Putnam City School system and graduated in 1969.

He volunteered for the United States Army in 1970 and served his country until 1973.  During his military service he served one tour in Vietnam, where he flew with F Troop 8th Cav (Blue Ghost), a combat air assault unit.   Wayne was a crew chief/door gunner on helicopters.  OH6A, UH1H and AH1G (Cobra). Wayne flew both day time and night time missions (Nighthawk). Wayne received several awards while in the Army.  He was Honorably discharged in 1973.

Upon being discharged from the US Army, Wayne attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Ok. Two years later Wayne graduated fifth in his class.  Wayne had a 3.8 grade average.  He received his A&P licenses from the Federal Aviation Administration. (A&P stands for Airframe & Powerplant). Wayne is known to be an outstanding helicopter mechanic and later received his pilots licenses.

Wayne went to work for the Bethany Police Department in 1975 and a year later was hired by the Oklahoma City Police Department. After twenty six years of service to the citizens, Wayne retired in December 2001.  During his service for the citizens of Oklahoma City, Wayne received several letters of appreciation from the citizens.

Wayne now owns and operates Oklahoma Lawns & Landscapes.  He is based out of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Wayne enjoys his work and can take a bad lawn and turn it into a lawn you would be proud of. People have said he makes the lawns look like a green on a golf course.  Wayne laughs and states, "Yep I'm the chief shovel an mower driver".

Wayne is also a storm chaser.  He has many still photos and videos of tornadoes.  Some up close.  Its something that my dad got me interested in when I was young.  He would stand outside and watch them.  I enjoy it and a tornado is fascinating, no two are alike.

Why Does Wayne want to be your Representative

Wayne believes in a government of the people, by the people and for the people and NOT a government of the politician, by the politician and for the politician.  Wayne believes that when a candidate or incumbent tells you how they are going to fix the problems, they have just told you that they are not really interested in your ideas, views or any suggestions that you may have.

Wayne is interested in your ideas, views or suggestions on fixing the problems in our district and the state.  Wayne wants you to get involved with him in working on the problems, he wants your input, suggestions and ideas and working together we can fix the problems.  When the other representatives see that the people of District 31 are getting involved and supporting their representative and demanding a change in our government then the other representatives will take notice and begin changing.

Wayne is not tied to any special interest group.  He will work for the people of our district.  He has said regardless if your are a Republican, Democrat or Independent I work for you and we will work together.  He will not show favor to anyone or special interest group, all will be treated fairly. He has a plan to keep the people informed as to what is going on in our government to inform the people on critical issues that are coming up for a vote.  Wayne is mentally and physically capable of being your representative and working hard for the betterment of our district and the state.

Wayne uses the word "PIG" in his campaign.   Most police officer are offended by this word but if you take a look at the word it stands for Pride, Integrity and Guts.  "Its really a complement", Wayne states.

Support Wayne with your time, efforts and yes your money.   Folks he can do the job and he is not afraid to do it.
